CALOHEE discussed at UK HEFCE National conference on Learning Gain, Birmingham 7 February 2018

CALOHEE was one of three international initiatives that offered a presentation at the National Conference on Learning Gain, organized by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) on 7 February 20178 in Birmingham (UK). It attracted 140 participants. Learning Gain is a large scale project involving many English higher education institutions. The conference was meant to discuss the state of affairs.

Learning Gain is ‘an attempt to measure the improvement in knowledge, skills, work-readiness and personal development made by students during their time spent in higher education’. It is organised on the basis of pilot projects which cover different aspects of learning gain (http://www.hefce.ac.uk/lt/lg/projects/). The Learning Gain aims and objectives relate rather well to the CALOHEE initiative. CALOHEE has a representative in the Learning Gain advisory board.
